Using PLR (Private Label Rights) and AI-generated content can be a time-saver for bloggers, writers, and businesses. When I first heard that one of the keys to a successful business was to always be adding fresh content to my blog, it seemed hopeless. My writing wasn’t terrible, but it took me several hours to write a 300-word blog post. I couldn’t imagine doing that 2 to 3 times a week.
What a happy day when I discovered that it was okay to use PLR (Private Label) rights content on my blog. Today, I still use and recommend a lot of PLR in my business. I’ve also started using AI to help me come up with ideas for content and help me improve my writing. Using the right prompts is key. However, to stand out and connect with your audience, it’s important to infuse your content with your own unique voice. Here’s how you can do it effectively:
1. Understand Your Voice
Before you start modifying PLR or AI content, it’s important to have a clear understanding of what your own voice is. Ask yourself:
What tone do I naturally use? (e.g., formal, conversational, humorous)
What values are important to me?
How do I want my audience to perceive me?
Having a clear sense of your voice will guide you as you customize the content.
2. Personalize the Introduction and Conclusion
Start and end with your own words. Writing the introduction and conclusion in your voice sets the stage for your readers and leaves them with a lasting impression. It’s a great way to frame the content and make sure it aligns with your style and message.
3. Add Personal Anecdotes and Insights
Add in some personal stories, examples, or experiences related to the topic. This not only makes the content more relatable but also distinctively yours. Sharing your insights or opinions adds a personal touch that generic content lacks.
4. Adjust the Tone and Language
Go through the content and tweak the language to match your tone. If the PLR or AI content is too formal, make it more conversational if that suits your style. Replace generic phrases with ones you commonly use. This small adjustment can significantly change the feel of the content.
5. Incorporate Your Expertise
Add value by including your expertise and knowledge. Expand on points where you have special insights or unique takes. This not only enhances the content but also establishes your authority on the subject.
6. Use Your Formatting Style
How you structure your content can also reflect your voice. Whether it’s through bullet points, short paragraphs, or specific headings, format the content in a way that feels natural to you. This can make your content more readable and engaging.
7. Edit Ruthlessly
Edit the content to remove anything that doesn’t sound like you. Be ruthless in cutting out unnecessary jargon or sections that don’t align with your message. Aim for clarity and coherence in a way that feels true to your style.
8. Engage with Your Audience
Encourage interaction by asking questions or prompting comments. Your engagement style is part of your voice. Responding to your audience in your unique way builds a stronger connection and reinforces your voice.
9. Consistency is Key
Ensure that your voice is consistent across all pieces of content. Whether it’s blog posts, social media updates, or e-mails that you send to your subscribers, a consistent voice helps in building your brand and making your content easily recognizable.
Here’s an example of what I’m talking about:
Original PLR Content: “To succeed in digital marketing, it’s essential to understand your target audience and create content that meets their needs.”
Personalized Content: “Ever wonder why some digital marketing campaigns just click? It’s all about truly knowing your audience and crafting content that speaks directly to them. When you get this right, everything else falls into place.”
By following these steps, you can take any PLR or AI-generated content and transform it into something that resonates with your audience and reflects your unique voice. This not only enhances the quality of your content but also helps you build a stronger, more authentic connection with your readers.

As a content creator, I enjoy creating products to help others improve their lives such as this “Finding Your Passion” Planner. It’s editable in Canva and comes with a 916-word PLR article, “How to Find Your Passion in Life: 10 Ideas to Uncover What You Love.” Both of them come with PLR (Private Label Rights) and can be edited, rebranded, given away or used for commercial purposes: “Finding Your Passion” Planner and article
